Technical Spare electrical connector??? 2006 1.1 Active

I replaced my coolant temperature sensor today all went well.
But during the work I found this connector not connected to anything???
I couldn’t see anywhere it could connect to it did look quite dirty?
The car seems to run fine.
Anyone got any suggestions?
