Seems Youtube changed all their links to https, so they didn't get caught by the auto linker - changed now :)
 


Nothing exciting here, just a test run of my new cam, picked it up earlier. 808#18 DR32.
Not overjoyed that it sounds so different to all the other clips from the same cam on YT.
I've sent an email to the seller & I'll post their reply in the "cheap dashcam" thread.
 
Which dash cams would you guys recommend? I had the misfortune of being pulled into an insurance scam and being sued for around £40000 for a minor bump at less than 10mph so am keen to try one incase of a similar incident.

Steer well clear of the highly acclaimed 808 #18 DR32 - the clips uploaded by techmoan and the ebay sellers are not indicative of the camera's performance.
Many are now complaining about the distortion of the sound. I suspect the market may have been flooded with cheap imitations.
For something cheap to get by, I'd go for the F70 (dual camera). There was a new version released (F70N) which records at 60fps (the original is 720 @ 30fps).
MEP posted footage off his recently, showing a car going into the back of him.

I've just ordered one as an upgrade to my 30fps dual cam. Paypal says it cost a smidge over £38 inc free delivery.

At that price, it really has to be worth a punt. I'll fit the 30fps one in SWMBO's car. "love you long time darling, here's a little pressie" :devil:

Yep, records sound, just my video editor is crap and cuts is out, and I've the 30FPS one I believe.

Cheers for updating the link sludgeguts was in a rush at work, hadnt realised it had ended.
 
Ahhh
I'd of had a cracking somebody driving with no lights on in the pitch black if it wasn't for the fact the camera was full and was clearing space when it happened

Needless to say - if i'd hit him, it'd of been 100% clear that he had no light on

A brand new 2012 disability car - he cant even be arsed to switch his lights on....
