Hi,

changed the gearbox recentlt and finally got everything running ok, then tonight the gear lever has become very sloppy and I cant engage 5th or reverse. anyone got any ideas as i've got a pct on sunday and need to be up and running by then.
lolipop is newish and tight.

hope some one can point me in the right direction.

It could be that the ball joint on the lever has gone south, grab the gearknob and give it a gentle pull up and down, i've got a couple with a bit of play in them and one which doesn't move at all

almost definitely the 'lollipop' joint under the car by the gearbox has come loose .. probably free to fix!
