Hi Guys could do with some advice. I have an 87 x1/9 and have been planning on fitting a relay into the dipped beam, however today I have been messing about with the lights trying to fix a different problem whan I noticed there is a relay in the fusebox that clicks in when I moved the light switch from side lights onto dipped beam. On removing the relay the lights turned off. Does this mean that there is a relay already fitted to the dipped circuit or am I missing something!

You are right in your assumption. It certainly sounds like a relay is already fitted.

I have an '89 which also has the relayed switch, but at the lamp connector was still only 11 volts. I did the relay mount in the front boot and now get 13 volts
