Yep, she's certainly all there. Have you had a real good look around for any rust? You don't need her turning to powder.............M.

No rot in my baby mate, i done the rear turrets by welding in a whole complete repair panel and seam sealed and waxoyl'd right over the top.
Underneath is so clean u could really eat ur dinner off of it, no sign of ever being welded and no sign of rust it really is a good turbo and for the original price i paid for it i got a super bargin (£250) not bad heh.
Its now got twelve months mot but im still not driving it untill its been painted, im thinking of changeing the colour to a darker shade of red cus the fiat red is never a flattering colour.
I was thinking a re spray in radient red used on the rst etc, a far more sweeter red, looks more attractive but im not sure, gotta hurry up and decide thou times running out.. :bang:

Rob,

Nice job!

Absolutely no need now for a respray, you put in a great effort on that tailgate (previously matt pink)... How's the bottom of the driver's door going? With patience you can get a good match from an aerosol can, but it takes several hits and then a fine sand/polish after a week.

Bumpers are impressive... just like new... what did you use?

The interior must be very clean to look that good in a photo...
Looks like your steering wheel is made of leather? Mine is just a standard Uno-grade plastic, though it looks the same as yours. Try some black boot polish on the centre?

Your wheels are slightly curious to me. It seems there are at least three different manufacturers of Mk1 Turbo wheels, each with slightly different shapes. Yours have a ridge around the centre holes and another ridge around the rectangular holes, which themselves look very sharp-edged. Anyway I think they would benefit from a good clean with Wonder Wheels?

If you decide the lacquer needs redoing, perhaps clean with paint stripper (to get all the holes clean) and then get them polished, or use fine sandpaper with the wheel turning on the car (this approach takes hours and tends to give a smeary shine...)

Thanks for ur comments matety, the inside is clean but that day i did just put the hover over the carpet for like 4 hours to get every little mark outta the red carpet.
As for the bumpers i know a freind in a vallet buisness and i get it from him it's called panache by auto day it's really good stuff and brings them back to new as you can see, how ever the front bumper must have been re placed at some point as it's as good as new and the fog's look so clear..
The wheels are a on going subject im really not sure what to do, i do like the standard one's but they just don't grip even on one bar boost, i go round a corner in second and it just goes into a wheel spin.... not good....
I dunno they tsw wheels in the photo are a good price so i might just buy them untill i find a set i love then swap them over.. plus the tsw wheels have 4 like new continentals on them so i could use the tyres on my next set of 15" wheels.... to many choices.. :chin: :chin:
And the respray is a deffo as i got two new doors that im de locking and 2 new wings so i gotta get that painted so i may as well do the lot...
Do u think after a respray and a few other bits id ever stand a chance at a show, i have the money to make it as good as new and i think i have started on a good shell, would be nice to get some thing back other than bills lol.:)
Thanks for your thoughts bud...... (y)
