Ok so the actual fitting of this has been well covered in Chas' guide, but I was just wondering how much these would generally go for from scrap UTs?

I've checked out the Uno Turbo Collective site and seen that there are often UTs being broken, but I don't know what sort of price to aim for for a second-hand anti-roll and fittings... any ideas?

i would recommend though using new brackets, both centre and outer, as i discovered recently old one have a tendency to snap, not a major issue, but very disconcerting as it waggles about till you repair it

the fiat dealer microfiche was wrong by the way, if you are going to order from there

you need the 2 listed on there for the inner mounting onto the body, the outer 2 that attach to the lower control arms are a diff size and shape, and hence a diff part number (they may try and sell you the inner ones as outer...if you know what i mean)

good luck!!!(y)

i'll try and dig the right part numbers out

Thanks for the replies guys, I'd like to do a few "improvements" to the car while I have it... I'm a big stickler for keeping things the way they're designed though (kind of "if it ain't broke" attitude) so the more discreet things like an anti-roll bar to stop me going horizontal every time I go round a corner would be great (y)

The money's a bit short at the moment though so I'm looking around at the possibilities to see how much the lot would set me back, so I can do the spending on it in one go once I have the funds!

I think I paid £20 all in for mine, though it might have even been less (£15? -Can't remember!) They aren't that sought after as most people go for lowered springs instead, but I reckon the anti-roll bar is a cheaper and better way to stop body roll but without messing up the ride quality.

I would agree with Turboned about getting new brackets, but according to my Fiat dealer the inner 'L' brackets (track control arm/ roll bar combined) are no longer available! That's why I had to traipse down to south London to get a pair that I should have got when I bought my roll bar in the first place.

The outer brackets are still available, so you shouldn't have any problems with getting those.

Find someone breaking a turbo and you should be able to get the roll bar and brackets for around £20. The outer brackets cost in the region of £6 each (you need two), though Turboned should be able to confirm as he bought one only a couple of months back.

Definitely recommend fitting one, so go for it!

desira hayes (now closed and moved to southgate) had them in (4 in fact) coz they mistakenly ordered them for me!!!!

Well the next Big Question would be... how much do you reckon it would cost for Royal Mail to post one of these things to me....? Unless of course there's some nice person going to be taking a ferry to Ireland any time soon ;)

And what exactly is the story with the brackets? As far as I see it, there's the L-shaped brackets (one either side) to go onto/over the suspension arm and replace the original suspension arm brackets, then there's the smaller outer brackets (one either side?) to attach the ends of the bar to.... somewhere.

If that's all there is, then what are all the other brackets and bits shown in the pics on page 2 of Chas' guide? And what on earth are the other brackets on the ePER (this page) that appear to attach to the centre of the bar? They seem to be the only brackets shown on the ePER and I don't see them in Chas' pics...!
