Good morning and Merry Christmas,

I'm new to the site and fiats.

I had the clutch and slave cylinder replaced recently on my Uno 1.0. All's been well for the past 6 weeks but now the clutch pedal has lost it's pressure.

The resevoir is full. I'm thinking air in the system. How would it enter? A faulty something else?

Kind regards
Seb

Hi Seb. :)

Could just have moved a pocket of air.

If you have not fixed it yet.. get a 30cm 12inch length of snug fitting hose.. mount it VERTICALLY On top of the clutch bleed nipple. Top of gearbox ;)

Half fill the tube with Dot.4 fluid.

Then open the bleed nipple air bubbles should come UP.. with the fluid from the tube replacing them in the slave cylinder.

Then close nipple.

You can VERY gently apply a little pressure on the clutch pedal.

Does it have resistance?

Next phase

Open the nipple 1/4 turn..

Applying pressure now should force some fluid..and air.. through the nipple but with restricted flow

This should help shift the worst of the air..

But helping it be replaced with fluid from the tube. :)

Let us know what you find..

Charlie

I've just noticed your post! Sorry for the delay.

I live in Cheltenham. I've owned 2 Unos in the past 3 years and they are the only two that I have seen.
