what engine sits in the uno 75sx from 1988?
is it the same 1500 block as in the ragata 85s?
is it a carb engine?
thanks!

In the UK, we only had the Uno 70 SX, not a 75. European Unos did come with a 1500 engine as an option, but ours were either a 1299cc or a 1301cc OHC engine (non FIRE), which itself was a derivative of the engines fitted to the 127 and 128.

If the Regatta has the ohc 1500 engine, then that is also the same engine as fitted to the X1/9 and 1.5 litre Lancia Delta. They should all in theory be a straight swap into a Uno.

And yes, all 1988 Unos (in the UK) had a carburetor. Fuel injection didn't come in until the mk2 from approx. 1992.

Hope this helps!

ok thanks!
now I now for sure what engine sits in the 75sx, it's a 1500 with fuel injection,
that is in sweden, in a -88 :)
was told it was the same block as from ritmo/strada/regatta 85, but injected with 75 horse.

It is the same engine as the 1299/1301cc just a longer stroke, to achieve the extra capacity.
The 1500cc block was the basis for the Lancia Delta S4 engine, which was super and turbo charged to give over 600bhp in the Grp. B days of rallying in the mid 80's.

149C1.000 engine, 1499 ccm, 55 kW, Bosch Mono Jetronic or LE Jetronic.

I thought the Delta S4 engine was based on the old Fiat Twin Cam engine?
