Alright Guys, its been a while since ive posted on so thought id post of the latest sucess. Took the uno down for the dreaded mot today and it passed without a since prob. Well there was slight engine oil leak but thats advisory, and also to tighten the back breaks up, which is think is pretty good for a 13 1/2 yr old car. Gonna tint the back windows and try and get clear side repeaters. Apart from that im struggling what else to do. Any one need any suggestions before there mot give me a shout (y) So anyone else's mot been as straight forward???

Snap! Just got my MOT today too, after failing on a few small bits. One tiny hole on the right sill which I cut out and welded, (very) slightly binding caliper, and headlight aim. Also treated it to 4 new cheapo tyres. Not too bad really for 15 years and 176,000 miles :)

Thats a great insentive for me!!! mines has just hit 51000 and 13 1/2 so theres hope for the uno yet!!!!

Should have a good 100k left in it, providing the rust doesn't get it. I've never worn out a FIRE engine yet, just keep changing the oil every 4-5000 miles and it keeps going on and on. Still manages 400 miles per week with no trouble and hasn't let me down yet!! [touch wood]

Mine failed a few weeks ago due to the rear brakes having no performance.
After plenty of useful advice from you guys sorted them out for £11.50 (new shoes) and plenty of penetrating oil and spray grease to keep the pivot levers moving.
Took it back few days later and got the golden ticket, so sorted for another year.
Pete
