2008 was a great turnout for Unos, i think we had 6 mk1 turbos and a 70sx, all grouped together:

2009 brooklands was pretty good too:

so the big summer show is coming:

it's in the centre of the country, pretty much, and would be a good occasion to celebrate the silver anniversary:

get a decent row of every sort of uno, prominent on the stand, any takers?

positive replies only please, any non topic will be deleted, trying to get an idea of numbers for the stand plan, cheers

Hi Jai , am not sure whether this subject suits this thread or not but I have a suggestion, you could think of distributing a membership logo (preferably made of bronze, can be made to sponsere by Fiat itself) to paste it on the Unos during the eve, So that the Stanford Hall get more publicity all over the world and can expect more participants more participant.:slayer:

Not quite sure I followed what your saying but if you mean get fiat to sponsor getting badges done for this forum then that would be a no no. Fiat do not have anything to do with this forum and they have no interest in it what so ever. So unfortunately getting them to cash up wouldnt be likely.

Just to add, there were three more Unos at the show that had left by the time the above picture was taken. There was a burgundy mk2 Turbo (one of the Turbocollective group), a five door mk2 60S (unknown owner) and a cool sleeper mk1 45 with a 1242 Punto engine, suspension upgrades (tub anti-roll bar and lowered) and running 13" turbo wheels. The last car belonged to Randomspeedfreak's grandad I think? Matt, we need more info. on this car (y)

So in total there were TEN Unos at the show :slayer: :slayer: :slayer:

i think there were 12 unos! - there were 2 burgndy mk2s that left, one verns (matt), the other fiatunoturbo1 (andy)
i dont know who that mk2 60s was
and my mate peters white one, which is technically a 45 :D

haha no petes not my grandad, just a good friend (although i can see why you would say that, the age gap is wayyy more than enough :D)

yeah thats one of his (5 atm i think, at one point i counted 8 LOL :D) unos, its got the 1242 fire engine in it built by wolf direct racing. Its had a full strip down respray with new rear struts welded in. new standard shocks and springs and a turbo antiroll bar - the handling is JOKES! its really light and nimble and generally it makes a great noise and generally brings high banter to the table :D

was a nice day, and really good to put faces to names....

just pissed i couldnt get my uno sorted and down!

meh, I was at a farm with my friends smiling, drinking and being silly.
:D

(sorry for off topicness!)

when is it going to be? yesterday I arrived to Nottingham (where I'm studying) from Barcelona (let me add that my Turbo mk1 behaved in a fantastic way) and I would really like to go.

cheers.

Ok I see, the 7th of June...that's a pain, I have my final exam the 8th :bang:

Do we have to book to be part of it, what time would we have to be there in the morning to set up, if I brought my race Uno down is there room for me to bring it on the trailer & then be able to mess about getting on and off tthe trailer, park the trailer up etc etc?

Hi all,
I own a black 1989 mk1 uno turbo i.e.
Hope to be coming to Stanford in June, only live round the corner so will see many fiats driving past - don't need to pay to see them all lol! But shall be coming to support the forum anyway :)
Greg

Hi Jai, i would like to offer our 1987 Uno 60s 1.1 for the display....just one problem it actually isn't on the road at the mo!!
So our plan is to get the car in the local garage pronto as the mot is about due, and ive got to get a new starter motor.
Oh and tax & insurance, mmmm...joy!
As it 25 years of the uno, me & my brother can't let it go unpassed without getting the car there, christ il even consider towing it there if we have too!!
Apart from those ever so small details, i hope to have it there!!
Fingers crossed :)

outstanding! get yourself over to the main stanford thread, add yourself and i'll see you there(y)

btw: last minute frantic runaround to get ready for a show? pah...uno ownership come standard with that(y)

Unlike my brother who is well rehearsed in last minute running around to get a Uno on the road for a show!!
Oh and il have to valet it as my cat has took a shine to it!! :D the joy of pets!!

wish i could be there but my 1990 mk2 uno turbo is off the road need crank reground new bottom end bearings and mot and tax cant get it all done by then :(
