Came to open the n/side sliding door today, and the handle seems like it has no resistance and it won't open.
can't open from the inside either as i think the child lock is on.

What do I do now??

Your local dealer should be aware of a modification (extra spring) to overcome this.

This may help,

try unlocking central locking from drivers door, on the sliding door move the handle towards the drivers door and then back to centre position do not try to open at this stage. close drivers door and lock the doors with key central locking.... reopen door and now try to open rear sliding door.

The key I have found is that beffore applying central locking the rear outside handle is central?

ok here goes....

1/ Open front door and then operate both the internal and external handles at the same time. Worked on mine

2/ Push the rear of the door in (where the lock is) and operate the handle. Never fails to work:slayer:

I have a similar situation with my (manual) sliding doors in that if someone attempts to open a rear door before the central locking unlocks the vehicle it is not then possible to open that rear door externally. Having impatient children this often occurs and I then have to reach round and open from the inside.

When I reported this to my dealer their response was that they felt this was a security feature???
