I intend doing a service on my Ulysse and notice the spark plugs are at the back of the engine block, a couple are partly concealed has anyone got advice for me on removal and refitting, will a normal spark plug socket be ok or do i need a longer socket. any advice on dealing with a stubborn plug? I have never changed plugs before hoping it will be a doddle

Thanks in advance guys

which ulysse do you have? as mine 2.0s Mk1 97plate are to the front of the block and are easy removed although I do remove the air intake between throttle and air filter for better access to middle two plugs.

I changed the spark plugs this evening, 3 of them were awkward to get to and I hope I have tightened them enough as I was very restricted only able to vlick the ratchet 1 click at at time due to the position of the plugs and other cables etc in my way.

How will I know if i have not put them in properly? I started it up and seemed to tick over ok, can you get a bendy shaft for using on plug socket?

You can get a either a wobble bar or nuckle joint? attachment.
Once on a previous car a plug worked loose and I got a misfire.
