Hi new to this ,can any one help me my 2.0 JTD ulysse will not start ,some off the fan belt came off but it is still in one piece .I was parked when this happenned it made a funny noise switched it off staight away .When i looked under the bonnet bits of the belt were rapped around the pulleys .The poor thing will not go ,it spins over ok some one said it could be the pump in the tank thats packed in ,had probloms starting it before .Any advice would be greatly apreciated thanks alot.

Have you replaced the belt and checked that none of the old belt has slipped into the cam belt cover?

hi cant any belt in the cam belt cover .iI have not done the belt yet,will fix when i find out why it will not start .thank alot for your help

There's a great possibility that your car won't start because of little pieces of belt caught between moving things... Clean it up, and then try again... Chances are you make things worse!!

Hate to say it but there is a very good chance that the fanbelt has run into the cam belt and made it jump
Don't turn it over until the cam cover has been removed and this has been checked , though i suspect it is already too late.
