God looked like a nightmare, but managed it . take wheel off and arch liner. so now you can see the belt

undo both tensioners and remove belt (take a picture of ronte) 4 x 16mm bolts and don't lose the 2 collers the rear most bolts are located in, now remove oil filter to get alternator out of the engine bay.most local reconditions wont touch them , loads of soldered joints just to get it a part
£300 from fiat and the same for patern one but two sites a didn't use got it down to £178

but so lucky i found one in local breakers yard of light commercials and mpvs on an engine which could have been out of a ulysse if you need an engine they advertise on ebay as fairlight in fobbing essex over 2.5 hours to get it offf and the same to put back on
but saved me a fortune , good job it worked
