I need a bulb hoder for the indicator bulb on a 2003 Ulysse (New shape) and also the hard black plastic cover that goes on the back of the unit. Fiat Parts do not supply either separately and want £175.00 + fitting for the whole assembly! :bang: Nice scam!

If anyone knows where I can source these or even a replacement assembly from a breaking car, I would be very interested. Thanks

I am getting nowhere with the Bulb Holder, although I have determined that Peugeot / Citroen supply this part separately for their 807 and C8 models respectively. Invested £4.00 to buy one and would you believe it, but it's different and does not fit. Knew the front of these units were different, but figured the bits behind might be the same.

Therefore I need to get a replacement whole headlamp assembly! (Letter to Fiat Customer Service on its way me thinks). Can anyone point me in the direction of a source for this please (Perhaps not a Fiat dealer directly, though - second hand would be fine). Ebay has nothing before anyone else suggests this.

Thanks

There is a FIAT replacement part for that holder, it is part no. 9406215468.
The indicator lamp is the only bulb in the headlight cluster with a holder (all the others are halogens with retaining springs), so this must be it.
The headlight itself is made by STOCKO-VALEO so you may look at other headlights from the same maker. On the rear (grey) side of the bulb holder there is the following marking: PR 6 GB 30
on the inner (black) side there is the marking: PR66-GF30
Maybe this will help you finding a similar part on other VALEO headlights if you can't find it at FIAT (maybe try another dealer), good luck!

Apis,

Thanks for your advice. I got hold of the part and it turns out to be exactly the same type of bulb holder as that for an 807 or C5! The problem is that there are two locating lugs, one narrow and one wide on the back of the holder. For Citroen / Peugeot the narrow and wide locating lugs are in opposite positions than that for the Fiat holder!! Therefore you cannot locate the bulb holder prior to turning it to lock it into position.

However, a flash of inspiration...I cut off the lugs so they would not prevent me from locating the holder into the seat of the indicator unit, turned the holder and it locked into place!!

The other difference is the Peugeot / Citroen holder requires the yellow P21Y bulb, whereas Fiat takes the clear P21W bulb. The bulbs have slightly differently positioned locating pins on the bulb base. However, you can ease a normal clear bulb into the holder if you are careful.

The whole issue is now resolved and the "bodged" job seems to be working. Plus it cost me £4.00 instead of over £200.00! (y)
