Hi all,

My 2.0/16v (1991) has burned the cylinder head gasket, and I have a doubt with cylinder head bolts: Can I reuse them or have I to replace them?.

In the FIAT overhaul manual for Lancia 2.0 16V engine says that the cylinder head bolts could be changed after 3 o 4 uses. However in that engine the tightening torque is 4 daNm (plus 90+90), and in my FIAT engine (160A8.046) the tightening torque is 7 daNm (plus 90+90) (as in FIAT Coupe 16v). So, I'm not sure what to do with head bolts.

I have the Lancia 2.0 16v engine overhaul manual, but has anybody the FIAT workshop overhaul manual for 1756 16v or 1995 16v engines?. (I think that they are quite similar, but not the same)

Other question: there are several camshafts lobes very worn, is this usual?.

Thanks and regards,

Carlos.

For insurance i would replce the headbolts..... i know people who have not and no issues.

Worn camshafts is common sorry. The two theories are either not harden enough or lack of oil.
