Technical yani's software

hi all can anyone confirm if this software works on an 2001 marea jtd 110
as i have spent best part of 2 days trying to link up through
laptop usb serial port following the istructions. but cannot link up,
it appears to connect through the vag-com software, but when you
connect through yani's fiat software it tries and then drops out, having
been through the forum it seems as like other members have had the
same expiriance as me, confused or what.

Don't know about yanis but I've had lots of success with easyobd II and not just on Fiats it connects to my mates type R easily aswell.

I have a 2001 110JTD and have no problem at all, I think it was the first engine he wrote the software for not that means anything but if you go on his forum and ask you might get some answers.

Stu you must be talking about petrol engines or have gone oilburner.

hi venters have you used that easyobd II on the fiat jtd engine, and can it used
with the laptop, or stand alone, if its laptop is it readily available download.

Are they not compatible systems?

make sure the laptop is fast enough (the software uses .net so needs the speed) , could also be issues with the serial adapter so maybe try another one.. the software has worked perfect on all my (our) jtd's.
