My sister was driving home last week when she said she lost power to the car and upon trying to start the car just turns over but does not catch.
We had the timing belt checked and were told it may be the coil pack, but the car isn't even catching for it to be the coil pack.
The engine management light, battery light and oil pan symbols all stay light.
Today i lifted off fuel pump cover under the rear seat bench to have a listen when i turned the car to the on position or tried to start it i heard no mechanical whirring at all. When i tested the same theory in my Corsa i could hear fuel flowing through when i started the car. I even disconnected the fuel line in the punto and nothing happened when i started it.
My question is that - Could it be a fuse / relay? The previous owner never gave my sister the handbook so i'm stuck for which fuses to check.
Also is there any sort of cut off switch that may have been triggered. Thanks in advance for any advice given.
