I ended up getting the elite in the end, £240 i think it was with an extra controller and fight night round 4, just waiting for Forza3 to come out now :slayer:

IMO Yes! But thats only because its black and my tv is black, the HD is bigger and the components are alot better and quieter.
If you decide against an Elite I would suggest getting the batch numbers to get one with the brand new disc drives and fans
think youll find every console is the same inside if it be arcade, core, priumium, pro or elite.
the arcade ones and pro ones are better then the current elites in most shops because they have had them so long they are falcon mobo's instead of the new jasper chipset that the newer models use, more arcade and pro units sell meaning they got the newer parts in rather somthing thats been sat in storeroom for months
The new chipsets have made a difference along with the additional heatsinks but they're still going to have problems until they get rid of the x-clamps from the design
:yeahthat: Elites are slower selling so most have been in stock since before christmas looking into one for a customer the other day and the date of manufacture was 20/08/2008 and we are by no means a quiet store.
