Oil consumption = about 250ml / 1000 miles. That's well with FIAT's acceptable limits. IIRC, anything up to 700ml / 1000 miles is fine, and the figure is higher for Alfas of the same period.

this cant be, few k miles and you are allready on min oil?

when i hit 100psi compression in cyl1 which went to 200psi when wet

I was drinking through 1 Litre of oil in 400miles

So 400 goes into 1000 - 2.5 times
So per 1000miles, my car was using 1litre x 2.5 = 2.5 litres

Mostly on start up and full throttle and hill action

That's why oil level is a weekly check item (or daily, if touring).

The figures are out there. The Cinquecento Owner Handbook (sic) gives max oil consumption of 0.7 litres/1.000 km. "If oil consumption is higher than indicated, have your car checked at a FIAT Dealership".

Essentially the same engine as the Punto, but assembled by lower paid, harder working, Polish robots.

So the Little 1.1 Sei/ciuq holds 3.75 litres

So in thoery you'd need to refill completly between a service 10K service
as they wouldnt care that it ran out after only 5357 miles....

Oil use is generally higher on Alfa engines (and 4 cylinder Hondas) -- anything up to 1 litre per 1000 miles is entirely acceptable.

Much more than that and the cats tend to die.

FIAT give 500km oil level check intervals.
