Technical X19 - 1600 Punto Engine

Has anyone put a SOC punto 1600 engine into an X19?
if so did you swap the whole thing , electronic ignition , injection system etc and related electrics + did you put a new fuel pump in.
I expect I will have to put the X19 bell housing and sump onto the new engine.
Were there any snags and how was the performance?

Have a look at my buildup thread (X in NZ) a few posts down - I have put a 1600 Tipo into mine which is essentially the same engine (as far as I know) although it is carburetted not injected, but with a suitable pump there is no reason you cannot put all the injection stuff on instead. I guess the big one would be space for the plenum etc...

Mine has had a bit of extra work done and I am more than happy with the performance, but I would think a standard injected motor would go very well.
