guy at the garage says that i need 2 new lambet sensors or sumthing like that it summat to do with the cat convertor

2 sounds a bit fishy to me, I'm sure your car has one, does the ignition problem only happen when your engine is hot?
Yeah. I think she's on about the lambda sensors as they're on the cat. Your sei should have 1, mine does and it's an early one.

No, if it's just the lambda sensor then you can get one from the scrappy. I think the cinq sportings have the same fitment. Just waiting for anyone to confirm?

Is it MPI or SPI? (there's a FAQ somewhere): rectangular grey air box or great big black roundish one?
If MPI it has 2 lambdas (either or both of which may be faulty), if SPI one. A trick which can work is to clean them with a carburettor cleaner (local motor factors). They can be swines to get out, so see if your factor has a lambda socket in stock.
In this case, your Wynns might even work, but it will take a hell of a long time to have an effect.
