Hi guys, recently got a 06 1.4 active sport 3 door and thinking about wrapping the roof black, the car is a grey/blue colour, and also the wingmirrors and behind the number plate, what is the best and cheapest way to go about this? Also I want to improve the sound of the car, I'm no expert and a little advice on this would be appreciated, thanks guys

Ive recently had the bonnet on my car wrapped in matte black. I did it to protect the front from stone chips but it does look good. Personally I would have it done professionally its not easy. Im sure people on here have done it themselves and got good results and it will be a lot cheaper diy obviously. But I wanted it done right by experts so I didnt care about the cost.

To improve the sound of the engine (I assume that's what you were referring to) I would suggest changing your exhaust, either the backbox or the whole system.

Also consider a different style air filter, from what I've heard they can change the sound of the engine under acceleration.

Where are you located JN.
My nephew has his own vinyl business in Pontefract.

As for improving the sound, a free flow filter or cold air intake up front, will give you some nice induction roar.
And a sporty box up the rear. (oo er)
Don't expect much in the way of performance gains though, as the gains you'll achieve would be minimal and hardly noticeable.

Fuel consumption may be worse, but only because you'll be driving harder to hear the noise.
Expect this lot to cost you a few hundred quid.
