The car didn't come out with any tachometer in it. Anyone got a clue about an easy fit that i could buy? thanks in advance.

I'd avoid turbo ones in less your fitting turbo sized wheels ;)

The speedow will read way too high on standard wheels (n).

The SX one is a better option but are much rarer in MK2 as they didn't make many. you won't have any redundant dials either (Oil temp, pressure boost) and the spedow is spot on.

I have one in my 999cc Uno (y)

Louie, the rolling radius of a standard Uno wheel and tyre (155/70 and 165/65) compared with a turbo Uno (175/60) is about the same! Both use 13" wheels too, so the speedo should work fine in a lesser model Uno.

I do agree with your sentiment regarding the redundant gauges. However, as you also pointed out mk2 SX instruments are very rare now and it's easier to find the turbo instrument pods. The same also applies to mk1 instruments - still a few turbo pods turn up but the SX pods are as rare as fook. Good thing I've got a few as spares ;)
