bought a scrapper of a car for my mate..got it to his and looked around it.inside the boot was a boom box(i think)its bout 2ft long 1ft high with clear perspex in the front.has 2 speakers one facing out has got splx on it other 1 seeems to be facing inwards all shiny.wot the heck is it

It's a pair of subwoofers mounted in a fancy looking enclosure. SPLX are a budget brand, you'll need an amplifier to power it.

It might be a bass tube? or do SPLX not make them? We really need pictures to give you an accurate description of what it is

That is a sub enclosure with some bloody awful subs in it You'll need an amp to power it, but TBH your better off getting a sub/amp package from www.caraudiosecurity.com .
