arnt you on your parents insurance tho?

I had been quoted an average of £1300 for a 10year old 1.1 Cinq Sporting

Its expencive, insurance, but the only way for it to go down is to get NCB

yeh i was on my dads insurance, mine has run out as of midnight last night, haven't went with quinn yet but it's the cheapest by far.

the 2nd cheapest was £1800, i think it might be the area (n)

and it's a more expensive car so they have to pay out more if it gets nicked?? not sure how insurance works lol:p

yeah true i am with my dads insurance otherwise it probably would be the same!

but in some ways i kinda wish i'd went on my own and got 1 years ncb, by 19 your insurance goes down and with 2 years ncb i could have gotten a faster car for a reasnable price, probably still can but ill only have 1 years ncb

direct line who i am with give no claims bonuses to all named drivers that is why i am sticking with them for a year or two!!

For those who have passed their test in the last 12 months, try pass plus,it is a government run scheme which is recognised be nearly all,if not all the big insurance companies, you get a 1 year no claim bonus immediately and that carries on until you acheive max no claims,( 4 years instead of 5) so you save for 4 years providing you don't make a fault claim, premiums should reduce by up to 33 1/3 % straight away.just a thought.

put a old person with clean licence as a named driver makes it cheaper, estimate your miles at 2k a year then when you hit 2k ring them up and add more miles

how do they know how many miles you've done? even if your MOT's prove the vehicle did 50,000 miles in a year they cant prove you did more than 2k, anyone could have driven it for the rest of the milage.

to use the NCB they give named drivers you have to stay with them when you get a policy in your name, thats why they do it, you dont get the NCB to use with another company if you leave. crafty eh!
