Today I have put a new head unit into my Panda (2004 Dynamic) and it works when the ignition is on but not when it is off. The original unit (a Blaupunkt) worked when the ignition was off or on. The new unit is from Aldi which I got because it has mini-jack, USB and SD card inputs. It has a standard ISO connector. The wiring on the Panda connectors fit the ISO connector but some wires are in different places. The problem is I don't know which wire is which in the car.

I have scanned through this forum and I think that I have to connect a red wire and a yellow wire to solve this. However I'm not sure that means on the car - there is a red/yellow wire, a red/black wire and a yellow blue wire. Or does this mean on the ISO block for the new head unit?

Here are two photos showing either side of the Panda loom.

Hope someone can help/clarify for me.
Thanks in advance

Jon

if you change the red and yellow wire over on the ISO block you got with your new headunit then it will be on all the time and you will have to turn it on and off manually.

Thanks for the advice :) which I tried but it still only worked with the engine on. I checked that there was a live feed with a multimeter but still no joy. I now think it might be the unit and have contacted the manufacturers.
