Hi, I purchased a late 2003 2.0 diesel Ulysse a few months ago. Now done a few thousand miles and no real problems to speak of.
However, I noticed a few weeks ago that the oil pressure warning light never comes on. In other words, it isn't working, it doesn't light up when the ignition is switched on without the engine running. It's probably been like this since I bought it, but I'd just never noticed.
Hopefully this is just a fault and not hiding something more sinister!
Anyway, I've taken a look today. I am assuming that the oil pressure sensor is the little switch an inch or two above the oil filter? If so, then I note that this has two terminals. However, only yellow one wire is coming out the back of the plug. It looks as if there should be another wire (green?) but this appears to have been broken off or cut immediately as it leaves the plug. However, there's no sign of the remains of the broken/ cut wire, even after I've cut into the protective sleeving at the first junction on the loom.
So, my query - are my assumptions above correct? If so, does anybody know where that (green) wire is supposed to connect to, so that I can try to repair it?
Thanks!
Rob
