I have just fitted a new battery & starter as the engine would not turn over, having read a few treads on here i am starting to think that neither the battery or starter were at fault here (maybe earth strap rot) anyway the info i require is, the original fiat starter had a single terminal for all 3 wires, with a special plastic shroud that seperated the wires, this cannot be used with the new starter & it has 2 terminals, does anyone know the proper way to connect the new starter there are 2 heavy cables 1 from battery, 1 to alternator & another small wire that heads up towards the alternator (not sure if thats where it ends up) would be nice to know so i can get it right?
