stick you head by the accelerator pedal, there should be a hole above it, carpet may have to be moved to one side to see this

use this hole to run the power cable through from the engine bay cause it will pop out just below the battery tray an ideal spot :D

then you run the power cable in with the other cables down the drivers side of the car, it will be held in place by existing clips

Right can anyone tell me, if i need this black thing or is it part of the stereo.

As you can see in the left photo its plugged in but in the other i've taken it out but i dont know if its part of the stereo or not.

I'm not sure. Is it a standard radio or something else? I've never seen anything like that before.

well its a sony one but the standard plugs from the seicento fit straight into it. Now'i've got get my alpine installed but if its not got a standard iso connnection its gonna be hard..

Is it mentioned in the sony manual? If it isn't I wouldn't worry about it.
As for the alpine, a harness *should* be included to connect to an ISO connector, if it isn't ISO already. If not, then its a trip to halfords or something and looking there.

are the cinquecento iso leads the same as the seicento ones. Theres a lead for £4.50 on ebay but its for a Fait to iso for a cinq not a seicento(i'm assuming there the same)

I would have thought so, but don't quote me on it! I would have thought someone like Ghost would know. My wiring was hacked about and I had extra wires, so I don't think I'm gonna be much help.

OK people im going to work on this tomorrow as my amp has now arrived. I've got all my cables so i should be good to go tomorrow morning. Now i need to clear some things up, my rockford amp came with a inline fuse holder which i need to connect my power cable too, how do i do this? (if im right in my thinking do i just cut up my power cable approx 15" from the end make a loop that connects into the inline fuse holder, tape it up so it doesn't come out then cut the loop and join each end to the power cable again so one end connects to amp, the other the battery.... correct? )

Also now i know i need to keep the power cable on one side and the RCA the other, but what about the remote turn on, can i put this down the power side as well without interfence or do i need to put it down the RCA side...

Finally last question, where the hell do i connect the ground wire too in the seicento boot. My ground cable came with a little loopy thing on the end of each side. Its only around 0.9m long but i dont have a clue where to ground it.

Cheers for the help guys. I think this is it. Unless tomorrow morning i cant find the hole above the accel pedel to put the power cable through. Also is there already a rubber grommet there or can i use tape to protect the cable.

(My first basic install being in 10 hours)... I'll even put up some pics so if a newbie like me is gonna do something similar in the future they know exactly what there doing.

Always use rubber grommets satty.
In a cinq there's a bumper bolt in the centre of the boot. This bolt is what I've used for my grounding point. Just make sure that you remove all the paint first!
You're supposed to run remote turn on with your power cable, but I accidentally ran it down with the RCA cable though - I don't get interfrearance however, but I'm gonna have to sort it.

Hope this helps.

the amp power cable should have an inline fuse anyway, dont go cutting wires unless you have too, check that first

like chaos said there is a bolt slightly off centre in the rear of the boot, you may have to go searching for this and pulling carpet back to find it, just make sure is paint and plastic free

if you stuck, im playing with the car most of the day, so will takes pics if needed

Yea!!! all the hard work has now been done. I've put my power cable and REM lead in and down the right hand side of the car into boot, lucky it already had a inline fuse holder on the power cable i ordered in my amp kit.

I put the RCA cable down the left hand side. Bit disapointed to find lots of other wires down this side its not going to cause any interference is it?

Took me 2 and half hours to do the above the most time was taken hooking up my wiring harness for my stereo right pain. To say this is my first amp install i've got to say the seicento makes its it soooo easy. The rubber gromet right near the acc pedel let the power cable come out right next to the battery, its almost as if fiat knew people would install amps and made it easy. The side sills came out very easy and putting the wire behind the carpet was very easy I've put everything back to normal and only have to connect the wires in the boot

If anyone on here is toying with putting an amp in but feels they haven't got a clue, trust me its really really simple. And if i can do it as a complete newbie to car audio anyone can. Now the only thing i've got to do is connect up all the wires in the boot to the amp should be straight forward and im done. Only problem i can see i'll have now is connecting the ground cable. I tried to have a quick look around before i set off to work but i couldn't see a bolt that has no paint on it where i can connect the ground cable.

But i think it should be done tomorrow morning. Not bad considering my first amp install. Also thank to everyone who helped on here. It really is very straight forward once you know what your doing.

Think about it, every bolt can earth... lol theres no paint or shouldn't be on the threads.. But then again i'm a bit of a dodgey bastid.. My Vibe is earthed on one of the rear seat bolts... - eerrrr i think.. & it works fine!

I dont fancy sanding away at the rear seat bolts to remove the paint. There must be somewhere in the boot. Again like i said im at work so i cant do anything right now but tomorrow morning i'll get cracking and should have it all done.

Got a rockford fosgate punch 250x to run my 6x9's. There rated at 150W rms each so i think roughly 125w rms to each speaker should be spot on.

Didn't fancy a sub. After this the only thing left to do on my car will be sorting the front speakers out, but i'll need something which fits straight in. Thats all i had planned for my car (plus a K&N coz the torque is crap at the mo, my mum had a 1.1 106 and it felt miles quicker than my sei sporting)

Guys got a quick question again before i hook up my speakers. It says on my 6x9 4Ohm Impedance, but the way im hooking them up they'll have 2 ohm from the amp. Is this going to cause a problem, i mean i dont wanna end up blowing my speakers or anything.

Cheers

the speakers, i dont really have a clue about, am not sure of ohms and such

as for earthing points, i always assumed its best to have it on the car body and not earthing to any objects

have you searched the whole of the boot, as mine was below the boot lock but i had to pull back carpet and get my head in there to see it

Yea!!! all done. Sounds well good. The mx feature on my alpine unit makes my 6x9 sounds really bassy, i've left the gain around half way for both speakers as im not too sure how high i sound take it but it sounds well cool as it is. I think the 6x9 i've got help though. Well thats part A done now i just need a k&N and im happy with the car.
