Technical Wiper spindle broken again

So the wiper arm fell off again because of the worn spindle/arm. It had previously been mended with metal glue and a screw through the arm part, and then with metal glue by me about 7 months ago, meaning to permanently sort it and then i promptly forgot about it.

I know about the cinquecento wiper arm modification that dragon_man has done which would be ideal but I am still confused as to exactly how it is done and I am unsure as to exactly what parts are required.

So does anyone have the panda wiper parts I need and can someone explain exactly what I need to do to sort it? Are the parts still available new or on ebay anywhere? Would really appreciate the help guys.

You can buy this, and just use the spindle - alloy "crown" which is pressed onto the shaft.

Thanks kolza is it only the spindle that will fit or will the rest of the arrangement fit too? Also will I need a new wiper arm?

Ricambio (the link homey posted for his ignition switch) has the motor linkage and wiper arms for sale - I priced them up and it came to - wait for it - £180,

I gave JohnDM my old assembly in exchange as I will need the cinqy wiper fix myself for the 4x4 (which fizzle now has).

If a grove could be cut into the linkage knob and a dab of weld on the arm wouldn't that fix it?

Yes, use just the spindle. Wiper arm is not made of alloy so splines on the inner surface does not wear that fast.

But looking on John DM video - CC convertion looks like correct fix.

if people send me wiper motors.. ill do this fix.

in the video that was the first vision of fix using the panda's original wiper.

the fix i do now uses the the cinquecento drivers side wiper arm.

theres no cinqs in the the local scrap yard though so i cant grab the arms. but i will when i see them come in.

I'll bring you the one off my 4x4 to do - which cinq wiper arm driver or passenger do you need?

Motorhog breakers localish to me have them at £10 each so don't really want to buy the wrong one.

Unfortunately no mk2 Panda's in stock or bits.

you need the smaller wiper arm.. i think its the drivers. you need to use the blade off the panda's arm on the cinqs arm when its fitted to the panda.

Did you get sorted out? I probably have a usable linkage with a duff wiper motor if you want.
