Technical Winter Tyres - which

Last Winter I used Uniroyal plus77's - seemed good.

Great price from Camskill (?)

After much investigation I've bought a set of GoodYear UltraGrip 9. Anothe rfamily member has bought a set of Nokian WR3 (same size as GY). I'll post later in the year on how both are doing. Best tyre prices were on TyreLeader

I've been looking at them for winter tyres (and wheels) for my 4x4 Panda. Were they ok to deal with - delivered when they said & tyres ok (not old stock etc)? Always good to know if someone's had a good (or bad) experience, as I've not come across them before. (y)

Re: Tyreleader - yes very impressed. Fast delivery (via DPD) and all 2014 stock. Highly recommended !! :)

Thanks for that, it's good to know. (y)

Never heard of them, but will have a look at them to consider when buying the Prius winter tyres and wheels in a week or so time :)

I've been looking at their prices John, and they seem to be better on all the Panda tyres. I'm thinking about a set of steels for the red 4x4, mainly because I'm concerned using alloys offroad & it's easy to clonk a wheel against a hidden kerb in the snow (which I'm hoping will be around aplenty this year! :D ). Only drawback I've seen is that it looks like they send the wheels and tyres & you have to get them put onto the rims - would be nice to have fitted tyres arrive in the post, but I'm being picky! Oh they don't mount the tyres on the wheels then. Hmmmm, will have to factor that in. At least £40-£50 from experience for fitting, plus a morning and having the put them all in the back of the car to get done. Will have to see how they square up with my tyres.co.uk as they supply wheels with tyres mounted.

I don't think so, as you can select a place to fit them. I might be wrong though - maybe I'll message them, as I'm assuming!!

Mytyres don't seem to do Panda wheels, do they? Finally I've seen why you have a Prius! ;)

Edit: went into the contact page and found

Are the packages tyres + wheels mounted and balanced upon delivery?

The tyres are not delivered mounted and balanced. The fitting centres listed on our site have all the necessary equipment to offer you cut-price procedures

It would have been more helpful in FAQ section really - what's the point of it nestling in the contact me link???!! :shakehead:

...and fitted them on Saturday. A bit wobbly and imprecise at the moment, but they'll settle down, I'm sure.

...and in other news, does anyone know anywhere to get OE accessories at a discount - I'm looking for new front mudflaps as the floods last year proved too much for mine and broke the lower mounts. The only price I can find is £45.20 at several suppliers, which is list, I assume.

Thanks
