windscreen wiper fuse keeps blowing up

ive got a fiat bravo 1.9 tdi r reg. had the windscreen wipers on and they stopped working mid way, everytime i put a new fuse in it blows straight away.
any ideas wat it could be?

Hi & Welcome to The Fiat Forum!
Find the plug-in electrical connector to the wiper motor & unplug it, fit a new fuse, turn on the ignition & the wipers.

If it still blows the fault is probably in the wiper switch assembly.

More likely the motor has seized, so if it doesnt blow consider an issue with the wiper motor...

i think its safe to say the motor has had it.

Check the wiper spindles are not seized, the ones that stick up at the bottom of the windscreen.
