General Window wipers

Hi I have a problem with my wipers catching,I have 24 and 17 size wipers and the bottom of the little one is catching the top of the big one ,this usually happens when theve not been on for a while but once going there fine ,any ideas

Mine does the same thing. Makes me jump when it happens.
Gonna try cutting half an inch off the longer blade.

One or t'other arm just needs resetting on its spindle.

And how would I do that please ,it's really annoying me now ,put them on 3 weeks ago going down an A road ,the caught each other and the big one flew off into the wilderness lol lucky I had a spare set in boot

On my replacement windscreen fitted 2 weeks ago, there are alignment marks at the end of each wiper blade. On my new screen, these are 3 dots in a row. Something similar exists for the original screen, but I can't remember if it's the same.

If the blades are the right ones, and properly aligned but still catch, then suspect a worn or damaged mechanism.

Hi just an update for anyone with catching wipers ,i bought alca super flat fiat 500 blades (24+14 ) from ebay (£19) to try and stop catching ,a week later and the havnt caught once ,was a bit worried with tbe little wiper being only 14 but theres no gap in window when raining and the work spot on ,so just to let people know who have same problem
