Styling Window Tinting

Hey guys, I'm wanting to get my windows tinted. I guess some of you guys have already had it done. So any recommendations?
I've been quoted £120 from a local place. Is that about average?

Also looking online I have thought about this.

Save some money and doesn't sound too hard to fit myself.

Never do it yourself without the right know how it looks terrible trust me. £120 is reasonable nowadays. Not many people do have their bravos tinted aftermarket in all honesty. I've got tints but they were factory fitted. As many other have too.

I had my old bravo done,lots of reputable places by me are doing 3 tints for £99,

Whichever way you do it, remember you can only legally do the rear windows. Windscreen and front side windows must be clear or only lightly tinted. If tinted originally, they will already be as dark as they can be.

I travel Leeds to London all the time so anywhere in between is fine by me.

£120 was with a lifetime guarantee as well which I thought was pretty decent.

Hi Mate,

I was quoted the same amount £120 (for all windows) but got to price down to £100

He provided me with life time warranty. I believe I got 35% Smoke Tint.

Try asking him to bring the price down (There are loads of places who do window tinting) Just walk into one of their shops and have a look at their work from pictures on the wall or websites/facebook accounts.

Also don't attempt to do it yourself....

I've dropped mine of today to get all of the rears 100% tinted, £120 and its done by a detailer so I know it's going to be a perfect job.

Also make sure they do a "proper" job,take door lining off and put the tints to finish below the window rubber seal otherwise you may find with the windows going up and down gt can catch and peel, some do a cheeky shoddy job just cut it out leaving a line around the edges looks poor :thumbup:

Yeaah I was going to brave it and do it myself but I've been warned off it a few times now. It's supposed to be a hard job to get right :/

So unfortunately I need a new rear screen as the owner before has put alot of scratches all over the inside. He got the film cut to shape, applied it and could tell straight away how awful it looked so he took it off.
