Window switch

Tried to take mine apart to see why it wasnt lighting up and ive ended up destroying it, all the insides have just fallen out and theres no chance its going to light up now, lol

Anyone have a spare one lying around i could buy?

Which one as they are all different.

On the drivers door there are 2switches, one for drivers window and one for passenger window, its the drivers switch with the half black and half white switch.

I suppose i only need the 'black and white switch' part as i still have the button for the top.

Or Tom do you know how much they might be from Fiat?

From fiat they come as a set, not cheap.

Scrapyard or ebay would be the best bet.

I'm going to take mine apart (again) this weekend - how do you take them apart without breaking them? I tried some time ago, but was afraid to break them, so i decided to wait...

I was thinking about putting some blue (smd) leds in them (since the green ones don't work anymore).

Remove the top of the switch

Unsolder the plate whit the LED, its held in 2 places (on the pic U can see the places)

Lift the end whit a screwdriver (on each side)

Lift the upper part of the switch
And there U go.

Yeah thats the process i went through, but when i took the top of the switch off with a screwdriver on each side, all the gold terminals just fell to pieces and ive got no idea how they go back together, and ive possibly lost a few too.

Do you have to take it apart to get the LED's workin again?

If everything fell apart, then the switch was broken in the first place.
To get the LEDs to work again, U just have to solder them back in.
