General Wind noise?

Hi! I'm new to this forum and need some help.
I have '92 Fiat Tipo 1.6ie that is good car except one little thing that is annoying me. It's wind noise (something like "whistling" - in lack of better term) when I drive more than 90-100 kmh (for those in UK 55-60mph),even at slower speeds if it's very windy outside. At first I thought that problem was in side mirrors, but problem is persistent. Checked the door seals, they seem to be OK. Can anyone give me an advice what to do (except selling car)? The "sound" is coming from front part of the door, where side mirror is attached to door.

P.S. I did a search on forum and seems there are some Stilo owners having the same problem.

It could be windscreen wipers positioned incorrectly, or misaligned pannels. Unfortunatly wind noises are particularly difficult to locate, have you looked underneath the car to see if anything has got cought, or come loose that could make such noise?

The Tipo is getting on a bit. It could be anything at all from perished seals through to a dodgy hinge to misaligned panels as mentioned above.
