I've read a few people saying they get quite a bit of wind noise with the 500X once the speed increases.
Has anyone fitted wind deflectors?
If yes how easy are these to fit and has it helped reduce wind noise?

I regularly drive at 70mph+ (never yet exceeded an indicated 80mph) and for me wind noise is not an issue or excessive. This is all of course a personal matter.

I'll be in Germany later this year (with caravan) and depending on where and when and uncoupled I intended to stretch my 500Xs legs to at least 100MPH.

There is of course the distinct possibility that at 80mph+ noise significantly increases but I've yet to encounter this.

To be honest I've found its more to do with what direction the winds blowing rather than the speed. I've had wind deflectors on my last two Fiats and in both cases it increased wind noise but I'm still planning to get some for the 500X :)

Thanks for your reply.
If fitting wind deflectors as you say to your last two Fiats increased wind noise why fit them?

Thanks for the reply. Due to a recent knee replacement and purchasing the car while not allowed to drive I've yet to take it out and open it up? So the wind noise may not be as bad as some are reporting?
Enjoy your trip to Germany and blasting the autobahn.

Basically it means I can have the windows down when driving without getting buffeted or if it's raining soaked. Plus I like the look of them :) and as my other half is a smoker she often wants the windows down at least partly whilst driving.

Well the wind deflectors arrived today so here are a few pics of you're still considering some...

They only took a few minutes to install and fit great. Team Heko £25.05 inc vat and delivery for the set of four.

Two things I noticed with mine...

The metal clips that are pushed in are, well, loose. Didn't fit perfectly and although they are in the rubber trim, they can slide about.

Secondly, near side mirror is partially obstructed by the deflector, whilst this isn't a major problem, still is a little irritating.

Interesting, I'm on my fourth set (on 4 different cars) and haven't come across a problem with the clips so can't comment on that but having been out and about in the car this morning I would certainly agree part of the passenger side mirror is obscured which isn't ideal.
