Winamp Remote

Windows Media Player is probably the most useless music program ever. FACT

When ever I RIP a new album it puts it in the library and breaks it up and gets lost etc etc.....So I downloaded winamp as its easier to keep your music in playlists and albums and a lot more user friendly.

When I downloaded it it came with an extra called "winamp remote" This feature allows you to play music from the winamp library on any other device connected to the same network. This means it should play through the media centre on my xBox 360. I have read that it can and has been done but I can't seem to get it to work.

Has anybody got any experience with this program? Or got it working on a Xbox360 or PS3?

well i use media center for my xbox but i do use winamp remote for my nintendo wii and i have had no problems with it so far you can use it for ps3 aswell but i havent set it up on my ps3

I prefer WMP11 to anything else with regards to playing and storing music. I prefer the layout, it is simple and easy to use.

However, for video, I only use VLC player.


Personal preferance I suppose.
