Hello everybody!
I´m from brazil and i also have a Fiat bravo.
mine is white and complete.

ive decided to join this forum cause ive been reading some awful things about our car´s future.
i´m really concerned about what is gonna happen to it. As far as I know fiat will stop producing the bravo just as well as they did with stilo.
I don´t know, maybe you guys could tell me better what is going on overseas.
thanks.

It´s funny, here in brazil people freak out when a car that they bought is said to be discontinued.
I read they would replace the bravo with another model and that this next model wouldn´t have the name bravo on it.

well….

i agree with you, when it comes to a new generation of the same car, a bravo´s new generation.
what i see as a problem is what they did to stilo, they just cut off the production.

and then you have a car that isnt even produced anymore...

it is faced as a huge problem for me and my pals.

Actually everybody I have already seen official looking pics n pages talking about a new bravo model with a new engine too, being a 1.8T which would produce over 200hp!!! Though seeing these reports and pics I am not an expert so I do not actually know whats going on with the fate of the bravo!!!

This year will be the last for Bravo in Europe
In 2013 will be present new model - Crossover

Not the same case - Stilo was replaced by Bravo (next gen of the same class, new name...well not exactly new).

Bravo will not have ANY replacement, the family hatch class of FIAT dies with the Bravo, at least for now...

Unfortunately based on where you live, i'd say your gonna get some rebadged Chrysler machines heading your way as Fiat's :(

Based on where i live the bravo will still be produced for about 3 years or so, that´s for sure.
as for its future, it is more than certain that it is doomed since it will be abandoned ( I pretty much see it as abandon in brazil).
im sad… bravo is still a brand new car for us and it is already dead in europe, or almost dead.

You'd think they were putting down a beloved family pet here guys, every car will end production, no matter how much it is loved. I'm surprised it lasted 6 years if I'm honest (if production ends late 2012/early 2013) because of it's low sales.

It's a fantastic car, but there's a good chance you will always have the latest Bravo. They tried the name twice with similair success both times, so I doubt they'll keep the name alive or resurrect it again. It'd be good if they did though, I think it's a fantastic name for a family car. Golf, Focus, Astra, C4...yawn. It's also lucky no one drives a Cee'd (the worst by far) or i30 coz they only lasted 5 years.

The Bravo is up against some of the fiercest competition being in the C class. There are the cars for people who don't think - Focus and Astra (Bravo wannabe). Golfs for people who think German=reliability and a whole raft of emerging market cars like the Pro Ceed who are hitting the market with aggressive prices.

Even if it gets past all them other brands, there is still the amazing Giulietta and the still 'interesting' looking Delta. Fiat simply can't afford to have their C segment cut into such tiny slices. Cutting down to two will boost their perceived image in the section - at the expense of one of the prettiest cars in that size.

A shame, but ultimately Fiat gotta do what they gotta do.

I don't think they would discontinue the bravos made in brasil, it just started there last year.

They'll probably stop manufacturing only in italy to make place for the new crossover.

At least it's not a BMW or Audi, they bring out a new version of their popular cars every 3 years or less.

Really? The current 3-Series has had a shelf-life of 8 years, with facelifts throughout. Ditto the old 1-Series. Audi's are similair, between 6-8 years.

If you mean facelifts, the Bravo was the exact same; it had a facelift in 2010 after 3 years.

I reckon if they really are going to make the new model a "crossover" they should release it under the name 'Brava' and also bring out an updated version of our Bravo's, with minor styling/engine changes. :)

Are you high? current 3 series is getting replaced this year which gives it a 6 year life with a HUGE facelift in between.
It came out in 2005 and had a major facelift after 3 years (new bumpers, new hood, new headlights, new rear lights, new boot lid) and audi doesn't even do facelifts, when they change the lights they don't mention it and when they change the lights+the bumpers, they call it a new model.

The bravo didn't have a real facelift. Changing the color of a plastic bit is not a facelift.

Point is though, it's a major refresh but it's just a facelift, as the Bravo was. Okay so the Bravo's was very very minor but it was still a mid-life refresh, as BMW and Audi do after 3 years.

Let's just agree to disagree (y)

Generally (my understanding is) FIAT designs had a 6 year life-cycle. But whatever, has not the current Bravo platform had it's life-span? I believe the Guilietta is the next generation platform.
