My new car is a Fiat Bravo Sport 150bhp Diesel multijet.:worship:
My other choices were Volvo S40 but laughable boot size?:yuck:Mazda 6 but only able to get standard TS model so they can go and do one!(n)
Vauxhall Corsa VXR ticked all the right boxes but then I remembered I have a family:bang:
So I got a Fiat Bravo for a week & decided that was for me(y)
Alfa Romeo 147 Ducatti Course came out after I chose the Bravo which was a bummer:(
Had the Bravo for a week now and apart from a couple of dodgy Italian build quality issues all has been fine. So on the whole very pleased with my choice.
I have spec of 18" wheels, tinted windows, dual zone climate control, electric back windows & MP3/CD player.
Black in colour as well as it's the law(y)
Looking forward to getting some decent information about this car on this Forum & I'm already looking for some tweeks to make it perform better:cool:

Welcome Mr Crow and your Bravo!

I agree, the law states multijet 150 sport Bravo's must be black :D

As for tweeks, it seems you can't go much worse than getting a remap, either with or without a modified induction kit. I'm seriously considering it but need to discuss with my dealer and with insurance to see where I stand. 200bhp...? Do you need it in your life?

p.s. answer is of course (y)

Hi

I'm new to the forum but work for the same company as Dead Crow and am due to get my Bravo 150 Sport Diesel in Crossover Black in approx 1 month. Like Dead Crow I had the other options. Drove the Mazda for a week including a trip from Southampton to Manchester and back. Nice roomy car but no real oomph (n). Found myself dropping from 6th to 4th if speed dropped to 60mph. The Volvo was good to drive but lacked charisma and boot space. Functional rather than fun. :(
Then I got the Bravo :worship:. The second I got behind the wheel and started driving I loved it. Had a demo in Maserati Blue with 17" alloys and manual aircon. I've opted for 18" wheels, sailcloth red trim, tinted windows, parking sensors, CD/MP3 player, dual climate control and rain + dusk sensors.
No problems with Blue & Me when using my Sony Ericsson K850 but I can see I'm gonna have problems with my Ipod so no doubt will be back on here asking for help. :D

I've never had a Fiat before but this was by far the best option on the list for somebody who likes their car to look good and drive well.

First impressions are that I'm gonna love having this car and I can't wait for it to arrive now. I'm pleased to say that down in Southampton I haven't seen many on the road which makes it that bit more exclusive and interesting. I was tempted by Maranello Red and Maserati Blue but, when you put it in perspective, it HAS to be BLACK.

Dead Crow what were the dodgy Italian build quality issues?

Enjoy(y) (yes I am jealous I cant afford one:()

Oh dear... you're going to have 2 cars the same in the car park... you'll have to agree to park them at opposite ends :)

So did you two go test driving together? You both seem to have tested a few of the same cars.

I think you hit the nail on the head about the drive winning you over. You get behind the wheel, get comfy then you find yourself becoming part of the car. Mine is STILL bringing a smile to my face whenever I have to drive it.

We work for a national company in different departments and not at the same location. We didn't test drive together but the leasing company send out an excel document with over 700 different models of cars for our banding. Within that number are a lot of cars from Ford, Citroen, Peugeot etc but nothing with any urgency or special looks. We could have had a 1 series or 147 or A3 but in base models with no kit and 0-60 in about a week.
The only one I would have liked was the Mini Cooper S but I decided against due to room inside.
With the Bravo Sport I'm getting a great drive with a car that looks fantastic so an easy decision in the end.
