It seems im not just cut out for this car modifying thing, as everything seems to go wrong!

It seems my backbox decided to fall off tonight so its hanging down now!

All after i got my bonny new MP3 player in the car (Which also was a pain in the arse to fit, as it didnt plug straight in)

The boy at halfords was useless as well, and couldnt sem to explain to me properly wat to do

I HAVE HAD IT!!!!!!!

Anybody wanna buy my punto?

(On the plus side, santa brought me a tom tom one which sits nicely in the wee cubby hole on the dash :D )

did he not give you the conversion cables? just plug one bit into the other and plug the new cable into the head unit et voiles :p

your backbox sounds like it only needs a new rubber, dunno how much they cost but shouldnt be much. very easy to fit (i found out after taking mine to the garage) just lift the backbox up and slap the rubber round the hook on the exhaut and the hook on the car (underneeth to the left) and there u have it

Yeh those rubber clips i have a spare one if you want it simon mate.

But you can buy them off of a garage for less than a fiver im sure,

You didn't pay £40 for a monkey from Halfords to fit a car stereo did you? :S

Its like a 15 minute job, MAX! I have always fitted my own since I first started driving when I was 17, and i have no electrical or technical knowledge of cars!

If the connection on the car doesn't fit the connection on the stereo...off to Halfords you go and buy the cable connection kit which fits inbetween! Easy!

He should pay me £40 seeing as i was the one that got left to fit it!

It needed 2 positive feeds summin or other so i just cut and spliced the yellow and red and its working fine now......and if anything goes wrong - i didnt touch it 8-[

p.s i always get left to fit everything btw  and dont u deny it Si! lol and the exhaust had just fell off the wee rubber thing - got it fixed for free :D

I tried to get it to work but got dead frustrated with it! I have a short fuse, especially when the boy at halfords said it would just plug in no bother!

As for the exhaust, the wee bit of metal had slipped out the rubber mount, 2 min job to fix.

Now the car is not getting taken out till the snow goes away

well simon if u had waited till u got to mine to fit the cd player we would have got all stressed would we

lynz to the rescue gain eh si 8)

mind u she done a good job of getting ma car out from the snow today
