Many, many moons ago in the early 60's i saw a 500 and vowed then to have one as my first car - and did by a 1958 example in 1977 for £125. It lasted 10 years before falling to bits. Obviously the Fiat bug had bitten and rarely have I been Fiatless since.
Got mine purely because it was cheap to run and a proven 1.2l motor I can rely on. I do long trips and it does fine with amazing economy.
Fun to drive and just love to drive this everywhere I go. Every time i leave my house this car comes with me and stays with me. I rely on it for work and personal use. I respect it and of course love it's looks.
Without it, I'm nothing. Haha
This is coming from a guy who also have a modified twin turbo weekend car. lol

I was having an 'anti flash car' moment coz I couldn't afford to run my 135i due to becoming self employed. My wife had recently got a 500 and I used it a fair bit for work and suddenly realised that I survived a 500 mile day in a 'shopping' car lol.
I loved the retro look and the twinair engine really appealed to me.
I've always enjoyed tinkering with cars and the 500 is so simple I can do stuff on it myself.
That's about it really, I found a pre reg 500 Twinair with £3k off list and here we are 3yrs later : )
