i have a modified HGT. its lowered on 50mm spax springs with 1.5 coils off the back. its got a stainless mesh air filter and a ported throttle body. i have a longlife depot so ive built a 2.5" downpipe into a 2.25" bore decatted system. im currently porting a big valve vis head for it and when thats on it shall be mapped. its pleasantly quick already so im confident it will shock people when completed.

sounds nice that, could i ask how much you would charge for the 2.5" downpipe
 
sounds nice mate, you will be very surprised to how they react to head work, there is loads of scope for improvement.


Im ok for an exhaust though cheers, heres mine lol not that it hasnt been posted on here a million times already lol i just love whoring my car lol
 
id do the downpipe for £150. obviously that includes a new flexi and lambda boss.

i remember seeing that car a while back. am i right in thinking its running 20vt injectors? is it mapped to them? also the 20vt plenum chamber, does it not empty out the rev range?
 
its not mapped yet no but the difference from the old inlet was brill, feels a lot more free revving now and responsive...

deffinotly a good mod in my eyes.

re the plenum chamber and injectors.... how far up the rev range would you say the power band has moved? id say mine comes on song at about 4k rpm and have always imagined the short tract manifold of the 20vt to move it up further. surely with 20vt injectors and no mappnig youre just washing the bores no?

this has come up many a time within last 2yrs. See Mick has laid claim that he has supercharged his Hgt -then claimed it wasnt possible or had problems..Then claims to have different cams,inlet manifold etc..Car is off the road yet claims it makes all difference whilst driving??
Then says its pushing nearly if not more than 200bhp - with no Dyno graph printouts at all....

No video's or said vehicle actually being driven..just video's of him revving the engine and you admiring the sound and making the assumption that because its deeper than standard hgt then it must be making 300bhp...lol

Not really a hater, infact i was one to slag Mick off in past. i kinda enjoy his posts and he has had it bit rough of lately - still he plods along :)

But kinda think its time to put up or shut up and post some real hard evidence..like some others have with the supercharged Marea's and turbo'd bravos :)

Flame away if you must..but lots of people really do no need to see evidence before kissing ass :)

mick did actualy log all his progress on here in detail too ade lol car has run just not for long lol due to unforseen cirumstances not to do with car,i aint on here to have people kiss my ass lol i was bored so posted lol im building my car to drive not to sho off on the net,

The reason why its not run now is the engine is waiting for a selct few parts.

200bhp is not really that much to ask from the work i have put in it lol aswell as the 100bhp of nitrous that was shown on here lol would it be best if i held todays newspaper an stand at the side of the car lol....?

lol i see. well mick if you want power gains that badly give paul a call at motormech and im sure well be able to 20vt your hgt no problem.

i wont be using the 20vt plenum chamber. its too short tract to be of any use to me i would have thought. regarding injectors, you need to be getting enough air in to warrant the extra fuelling. id be surprised if a 20v n/a needs new injectors this side of throttle bodies. its something ill have to keep a close eye on when its being mapped with the new head though i dont think ill be camming it so it shouldnt be a problem. i dont know if any of you guys have heard of flea off fccuk but his company fc performance specialise in mapping the m2.10.4 and he does a large afm conversion for the 20vt so i think i might see whether i can use the 20vt afm housing for a larger bore intake. whats the furthest anyone has taken the 20v n/a on here?
 
by the way ive worked at motormech specialising in the 20vt for 3 years. me and paul have just opened the longlife exhaust centre which i now run
 
maybe the car has "run" but has it been driven??

Also those logs you posted were pictures of you posting the inlet manifold - nothing showed the Supercharger fitted or running..yeah you had pictures of the charger- but not fitted etc- no pictures of the mounting brackets etc, plumbing etc. Pictures were there of you stripping the head and giving it a home head job with no experience in engine tuning. Yeah i heard you put blah blah ford engine into blah blah escort /fiesta etc but i hadnt realised you had your own flowbench etc??

Again we can all make figures up in our head as too what bhp that their car is making but it dont mean jack s h i t :)

When you get those printouts of the dyno run and pictures of the car actually being driven, then i will be 1st to say "well Done" but you have nothing to prove to me?? --you may think..but when you come on here with Comments like 200bhp etc then you gotta be able to prove it :)

Nico i believe is the one that has taken N/a 20v to its limits..had cams,induction,dastek etc..apparently his was a beast!!! and proven with Graphs too :) lol

so if i fit 200bhp jets of nitrous to my 115 will that make it the 315 bhp??? will that mean my hlx is faster than your hgt??
