I'm looking for a used GP, but I've noticed this with all models/cars

It's so rare to find a nice black/white car. Most of them are a horrible grey, or dirty brown, or dull blue/gray

I don't see why people can't go for B/W or at least Exotic red or something :(

P.S. I know some people will like the colours obviously, but I wonder if the garages just sold them cheaper than the normal colours as people weren't buying them...which then makes me wonder why Fiat painted them these colours

the only reason i drive a silver car is because at the time it was pretty much the only car that met my Spec; punto 1.3 multijet with Aircon i really don't like the colour, however it doesn't show dirt and grime like the black cars i've owned or multi coloured sun faded panels like the red cars i've owned.

As for white !! seriously? this is the colour of builders vans and lorries only in the last 3-4 years has it become popular and only because audi put it in some advertising, and fiat charge you £500 to have a fiat 500 in any other colour.

ironically i've been looking at a brown Audi 5 cabriolet to replace my Punto but having second thoughts because of depreciation and having to sell the thing again in the future. so now looking for silver or probably all black?

The reason there aren't so many colourful cars these days is because they are bought by the hundreds by car rental firms and fleet buyers who want colours they know they can sell after they serve their purpose, so usually black silver metallic grey and light metallic blue are the order of the day. so if you're looking at cars a few years old thats all you'll tend to find, brand new (2010 and on) you'll find a lot more white cars as they become more popular with fleet buyers.

I don't think i would ever buy a white car? remind me to much of builders vans and lorries. white has always been a bit of a poor mans colour, however I know its fashionable now, you'll regret it when its 5-6 years old and the paint is ground with dirt and unclean-able much like a builders ford transit

Unclean-able? Everything is cleanable. :D

although I know what you're both saying and I agree in principle having mopped white cars that are only a few years old, which have only ever seen the automatic carwash and never a bottle of polish it is extremely hard work to get any luster back in the paint, although as you've both said its not impossible (y)

That reminds me of my Punto Mk2 – emerald green with royal blue interior. I’d make the paint chimpanzee at FIAT who came up with that combo use it on every car they went on to own.

I recall taking it in for ticking tappets under warranty & chatting with another customer. When we left he got into a claret coloured Punto with matching velour interior - really classy in contrast to my abortion.

Fortunately fate took a hand - it was written off by a Subaru man practising his re-heat take-off in a 5mph car park.

Greens, browns, morons are all horrible colours to begin with. I guest people must like them because im seeing so many of them being driven on the road.

I for one believe diffence colours suit diffence cars. I think a basic punto painted white looks rubbish, while the same colour on a 3 door GBT model looks really cool.
