I have noticed that, like me, a lot if folks on here are OCD about their cars.

Here are a few things that bug me...

1. I noticed the other day that I have one odd valve cap.. I'll have to change it. It's really bugging me.

2. The rear wheel arch liner protrudes past the rear bumper more on the o/s than the n/s

3. I don't allow bags or umbrellas in the 'cabin'

4. Can't stand shoe scuffs on the bottom of the interior trim of the doors. I would prefer passengers to wear slippers in my car.

5. Chipped windscreen - this really bugs me as I have to look at it all the time while driving.

I could go on, believe me ; )

I spend a long time searching for parking places which minimise the risk of someone dinging the panels. I once drove to another town because I couldn't find a safe spot to park in.

Lol, me too!
My wife is as bad. She once went shopping and was back home within half an hour. I asked her how she was so fast. She told me that there were no 'good' parking spaces and she was not prepared to get her 500 dinged!

Your not the only one... I have terrible OCD when it comes to Luigi :p

I also spend ages driving around for a parking spot and check all the doors when I get in :)

You are right jrkirching. I still notice my dented body on the left rear wheelarch as a result of someone hitting me whilst I was parked! I really don't care about my bumper though since its plastic so I don't mind parallel parking in tight spaces. One day I came to my car and noticed my front numberplate was bent! I was like who on earth did that! haha I just bent it back in place and drove on. Again bumpers not an issue as they are plastic, body panels much more so = (

I do, as they're mounted to metal panels, and if too much force is put through the bumper, the mounts will be distorted as the force has to dissipate somewhere.

Of course but at 1 mph parking it is ok. Its amazing at how such little contact creates a scratch on the bumper!

Totally agree. A peek under the rear bumper reveals two very flimsy metal brackets that hold the bumper in the right place in relation to the body. These would very easily be bent be clumsy parking.

And my Mrs wont have the rear headrests left up, and if theres only one passenger in the back they must both be up so it look symmetrical from behind.
She also hates having only one reversing light and only one fog light, it makes the rear un-symmetrical. Lol.

I have to make sure all the air vents line up and the steering wheel is always left straight

I can live with most things apart from kerbed wheels and that's only because it makes it look like I can't drive :p

The only thing I can't do though is have the stereo volume on an odd number, it always has to be an even one

Just the same, has to be an even no. on the stereo, wheel left straight, no rubbish left in the car/boot. Nothing wrong with this, saves ever having to clean the car out, I`m the same with my `69 Morris Minor! Not at all sad but to be appreciated, better than having a car liuke a midden!:)

I thought you didn't have the time to be OCD :p

I like the 'stereo volume on odd numbers' one, never heard that before (y)

I don't like the rear head restraints left up either. My mrs does it and it drives me mad. She's also banned from eating in the cabin as she once got a crumb of chocolate on the seat, and also must put her bags in the boot, not the passenger foot well. Also I like the fag diagram on the lighter to be straight across from left to right, not at an angle.
