My alarm has ben playing up and so my local dealer has decided that a new alarm unit is required.

The car has gone in today and they've just rang me to say they require the spare key and the white tags that come with it to reprogram the alarm.

Wot White Tags????

Has anybody any idea what they are talking about because according to them if I ain't got them I'm gonna need a new set of keys, inc the red one!

Cheers,

hi there,

the white tags would have come with the car from new and have codes on them for alarm, radio code, etc. i was luck and bought my bravo second hand with all the gubbins. if you bought it second hand, consider claiming on any warranty. i would have thought a fiat dealer would be able to order them from the factory though.

good luck.

White tags?

Youve got me worried now!! I bought an hlx and i dont think ive got anything like that.

I have two pieces of paper stapled to the service book thing and they both have 4 digit numbers on them seperated by full stops - is that it?

PLease say yes so i can relax again!

Relax!

Yep, that's them.

I hadn't thought about checking my service book, so there's still a chance...

If I can't find them then it'll be a new roof receiver and reprogrammed keys, luckily not the red one. Still £200 though!!!!
