General White Smoke on cold start up

My Scudo 2013 with 80.000km,120 multijet smokes for about 3 minutes at startup after standing overnight - quite thick white smoke - embarassing. Then the smoke clears and it goes like normal. No engine warning lights or other lights showing. Performance and fuel consumption is good as always. My mechanic has checked it out a few times everything seems normal Any suggestion?

Does it idle smoothly?

Sounds like its unburnt fuel..


So rough idle: poor combustion..lack of compression ignition.

Either cold cylinder or low compression.


Even idle...

Basic overfuelling issue.. maybe a dribbling injector.

Had injectors checked,seals changed which where still good did them just piece of mind,glow plugs checked
The motor runs well and smooth
You are right there is a bit of smell of unburnt diesel on start up, which I have mentioned to my mechanic
