Right im looking for a new backbox, I don't want anything thats gonna alter the emissions..
I am really unsure which look to go for.. price is not really an issue so the Supersprint ehxausts are probably the make im gonna go for..
Which one should I get..which one suits the Stilo the best..number 3 is Not a supersprint though..
Also are all of these easily fitted by local non Fiat garages ?

1 : The single Oval shape

apparently the best systems for the Stilo are these:

I heard somewhere a while ago, that the Ansa Exhausts were not that great for the stilo ?
Whoever it was, told me they were too noisey and wouldn't last as long as a supersprint ?
Im getting really confused now..

OK this is the Ansa backbox for the Abarth...how come the 2 pipes don't go upwards like the others do ? I take it its gonna fit ok...

I emailed them a few weks ago and they said they don't do the Abarth exhaust and wont be, as they are clearing all stock.. would have been nice if they did though...the prices are unbelievable.

When looking for reviews on the different systems I generally come up with the same result which is....

ANSA is cheaper, but reputation is that they last less than 2 years.

If you want aftermarket, consider SuperSprint

Hey..

You should try these guys they do great systems tuned to fit your car so that you get most BHP out of it! You can pick from loads of designs and they even make custom's if they dont do what you want!

:) :) :)

Just had a look at that site - they look like a decent company. KoArAng; I'm planning an aftermarket exhaust for mine possibly around March next year...recently i've been looking at Novitec's website and their systems for the Abarth. There's one stainless steel back box and centre unit that retails for approx 579euros which when converted is about £370 which considering it's a back box and centre section is pretty good value. It also looks the dogs danglies, plus Novitec is a very reputable company from what I can gather. I think P&P is free even to this country if your spend that much £'s with them.

(on a different note my Abarth isn't lowered in that thread I was trying to say if it was lowered the incident I described may have done more damage - but it's a pretty extreme example. Also with lowered stiffer springs the suspension probably wouldn't have 'bottomed out' so it may not have happened at all?)

thanks for that info..
I looked on the novitec site at them exhausts..they do look nice..
Im gonna go to my local tunning shop 2morro and see about them doing a custom exhaust... I want one like this if possible...so I would imagine they will need to find a way of fixing the right hand side on..I know they do custom stuff so i'll give em a go..

Thats cool.. thanx for that TC.. the powerflow site actually names my local tuning shop as one of their centres, so i'll get that sorted 2morro.

will make you a custom job at one of their centres and their prices are reasonable too!

Yep, they look decent too...so many choices for KoArAng! I like the twin output idea although if I had twin outlets I wouldn't want them as 'proud' of the rear bumper as they are in the Novitec example. I notice Poweflow did an outlet that curves upwards - now that would look good I think.

Kool..........................

they quoted me, from the CAT back, one outlet £160, two outlets £290 and that was DTM style stainless steel pipes!

They did my mates SAXO, downpipes from engine block, remove CAT, so he has a straight through system and twin outlets..........................£800, not bad for a full system.

Yeh, ive had a mate who had a exhaust done at a powerflow centre and he rated it 10/10, had my old car done at exhaust uk and again i cudnt fault them, took the car into the sheffield branch and a guy who worked there drop me off in meadow hall and picked me up later when the job was done! :)

OK I went in this morning and they said they could do the twin outlet, BUT the drivers side being done would mean that the exhaust would go near the fuel pipes, and if they done this I would need to sign a disclaimer........So I think i will leave that one...
the single outlet would be £175...BUT to use one of their systems they think it would need to be a smaller box...and that means more noise... So im gonna get one of the Supersprint ones...Now to find the cheapest place to get it from ?

Can't help with a good price but Supersprint is definately a good choice got one on my Mum's Coupe and does make a subtle difference and has a quite nice *Burble* on idle but not to loud (y)

I agree................................

when I had mine fitted I was really aprehensive, and when I turned the key I was expecting a dramatic change, but no, it's very civilised and only sounds good when you need it to, under normal driving, you'd never know it was a performance exhaust. The Devil boxes give you a choice, homologated or non-homologated, in other words, road legal or track exhaust, I opted for road legal!
