Yep, I'm still out here!
Just got promoted??? You guys, that was months ago. Well, I completed my 12 month contract, failed to get another 12 month contract, was given a 1 month contract, performance based, then another month, then the bullet!
Yep, the RM, chew you up and spit you out!
It's not all bad though, I was offered the street, or a post on the shop floor, so I'm now performing manual duties on the night shift, I've taken a pay cut from 36k to 19k, so I'm feeling the pinch. I'm going through the selection process at Tescos at the moment in their new local national distribution centre as night shift manager, they are offering 43k, so I'm brushing up my presentation techniques in readiness.
None of this really matters, because on the 21st August I fly out to Sicily for two weeks, so who gives a ****?

Sorry to hear that mate, that's a hell of a pay cut, iirc though did you not used to manage to boast your salary with regular overtime though?
Tesco's sounds good, I didn't realise they pay so well, on 43k you'd be sorted, best of luck

I'm ok though chaps, I've discovered the joys of stress and responsibility free work, two weeks now and I'm much more relaxed than I was, the only downside is I'm poorer.
